Approximate 1 hour 30 minutes
Take Route 7 going north towards Rutland, VT. In the town of Rutland you
will pick up
Route
4 going east. Follow Route 4 east past Bridgewater and then
into the town of Woodstock.
At the center of the Village of Woodstock, turn at Bentley’s Restaurant (Elm
Street) towards Barnard on Route 12 North. Follow the road over the steel
bridge and go past Billings Farm and Museum. Route 12 North goes for 10
miles before you arrive at the Barnard General Store. At the intersection turn
right, keeping Silver Lake on your left. Follow this road up for approximately
1.5 miles. (There is one place where the roads forks at Royalton Turnpike - stay
to your left).
Just past where the road changes from black top to dirt, you will see two stone
pillars and a wrought iron gate on your right, marking our entrance driveway.
(If you hit blacktop again you have gone too far). The driveway winds down
past The Pub and into the Courtyard.
DIRECTIONS TO MANCHESTER, VT FROM TWIN FARMS:
Exit Twin Farms gate, taking a left. Proceed down the Stage Road to the
Barnard General Store. Turn left onto Route 12 South toward Woodstock. In
Woodstock at the “T” junction of Elm Street turn right to pick up Route 4
West. Continue on Route 4 West to West Bridgewater (approx. 13 miles).
In
West Bridgewater just past the Bridgewater General Store you will pick up
Route 100A south to 100 south to Londonderry (approx. 25 miles). In
Londonderry you will pick up Route 11 West toward Peru and Manchester.
Route 11 will take you into Manchester.
OR
Exit Twin Farms gate, taking a left. Proceed down the Stage Road to the
Barnard General Store. Turn left onto Route 12 South toward Woodstock.
In
Woodstock at the “T” junction of Elm Street turn right to pick up Route 4
West. Take Route 4 going west in to the town of Rutland where you will pick
up US Route 7 going south which will be a left-hand turn. Follow Route 7
south through Wallingford, Danby, and on to Manchester.
