Corporate Meetings & Retreats

Brainstorm. Decompress. Reconnect. Solidify. Celebrate. Where better to do one or all than Twin Farms, once home to a Nobel Prize-winning author and his journalist wife.  Twin Farms is located in Barnard, Vermont, ten miles north of picturesque Woodstock, and is sited on 300 acres of rolling hills, meadows, orchards, gardens, woods and ponds.

Aside from providing escape and relief from the rigors of everyday life, Twin Farms is ideally suited for small corporate gatherings.  In reserving the entire property, groups are guaranteed the personalized service and attention to detail that Twin Farms is so famous for.  Meals, activities and atmosphere will be solely dictated by your group. The mood can range from black-tie formality to a pond-side clambake.  The property can accommodate 20 couples, and whether members of your group arrive early for pre-meeting motivation or stay after for post-meeting rejuvenation, Twin Farms offers a blend of comfort, activity and efficiency perfectly suited for the hard working in need of a change of venue.

The property offers a wide variety of locations to conduct small meetings and presentations.  Depending on the size of the group and its requirements, the staff can advise locations for each event, and turn the most untraditional space into a fully-equipped conference room.

The Lodge, located next to the Main House, has a large common room adjoining two guest suites, Hillside and Grotto. Aside from being spacious and comfortable, The Lodge is particularly well suited for presentations with audio-visual accompaniment. It also boasts a huge fireplace, its own kitchenette and bathroom, a cabinet table, a wall-mounted plasma screen for a/v presentations, stereo system and a panoramic view of Twin Farms' private ski trails.

The Farmhouse at Copper Hill, in addition to housing 4 luxurious suites has The Library, a comfortable gathering area for networking, small meetings or private dining for up to 8 persons.  The Farmhouse overlooks Copper Pond, with beautiful views to the south.

The Pub, accessed via a footbridge from the Main House, is the perfect spot for less formal gatherings.  Its large-screen (46") television with DVD and stereo is perfect for Powerpoint presentations. The billiards table, English darts, Wurlitzer jukebox and fully stocked bar add a convivial atmosphere to any gathering.

The Dining Room in the Main House can also be used as a meeting space for up to 20 people. Additionally, the Small Dining Room can be closed off completely, creating total privacy for a breakout room of 6 or less.

Most locations can be customized to accommodate a small meeting or gathering.  Tables, chairs and A/V equipment can be brought in and out as called for by the individual requirements of the group.  Complimentary high-speed WiFi is available property wide.

When the day's work is done, Twin Farms offers myriad activities year round.  Virtually all winter sports are available on property including downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowshoeing with all equipment included. In the warmer months hiking, tennis, biking, fishing, canoeing, and pond swimming are available. Year round guests enjoy the Furo, a Japanese-style hot tub as well as a well-equipped fitness center with treadmills, stationary bicycles, elliptical trainers, stair machines,  a Flex Circuit System, and a broad spectrum of free weights.  Men’s and Ladies changing rooms each have aromatic steam rooms.  Out of the Woods, the Spa at Twin Farms, is available for those guests wishing to experience a truly unique and authentic spa experience, featuring the very finest of hand-crafted botanical preparations.  Massage therapy is available to guests in their individual accommodations.

Keeping all of those options and activities in mind, let us not forget the innumerable fireplaces to curl up beside, exquisite couches in which to sink, a library stacked with books, videos and music, and plenty of trees to sit or lean against to gaze upon the most beautiful scenery offered by nature.
