Spa Facility
Three graciously appointed treatment rooms designed to impart calm and quiet to weary life-travelers comprise Twin Farms' celebrated spa Out of the Woods. When they "can't see the forest for the trees", Twin Farms guests step Out of the Woods and into a fully-equipped relaxation area where they may lounge prior to treatment. Men's and Ladies' change rooms with glass brick steam rooms provide another haven from the outside world. A full array of custom treatments and products designed by Arcania Apothecary of England complement both body and soul. In-room couples massage therapy continues the theme of privacy and pampering.

A 24-hour fitness center adjoins the spa, with a full range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment, resistance weight machines, free weights, yoga equipment and mats, exercise videos, instruction and steam.

Furo
Nestled in a copse of birch and maple nearby the spa is the Japanese Furo. Maintained at a steady 104, the giant, sunken stone tub provides a stunningly private, therapeutic experience. Cedar screens separate dedicated men's and women's sides to the tub, while a communal area in the center allows for socializing. Soaring sliding glass windows may be opened for fresh air or trap warmth and guests may change in adjoining cedar dressing rooms.

Signature Treatments
Body Treatments The Ultimate Body Treatment: One hour, 45 minutes. Begins with a complete body exfoliation using Dead Sea salts in rich nut and essential oils, followed by hydrotherapy session, deep sea body wrap, facial and scalp massages and finishes with refreshing contour massage with lymph drainage using an exquisite contour lotion of green tea, elderflower, and grapefruit.

The therapeutic benefits of this detoxifying treatment increase circulation, boost the immune system, and aid in cellulite
reduction. Designed to quiet the mind and leave skin toned and hydrated.

Evening Primrose Body Treatment:
90 minutes. Begins with a complete body brushing and Dead Sea Salts and acadamia Nut Oil exfoliation to prepare skin for the application of warmed Evening Primrose Cream and light cotton gauze wrap. A deeply relaxing scalp and foot massage follow while the very special skin tonic soothes and repairs the skin. The treatment concludes with a full-body massage.

This head-to-toe treatment is an Out of the Woods original designed to be deeply moisturizing, and is especially good for dry, problematic skin and to heal skin that has been over exposed to sun and wind.

Exfoliating Salt Body Scrub:
50 minutes. Begins with a gentle dry-brushing to detoxify and stimulate the lymph system, followed by a complete Dead Sea salt body exfoliation, with vitamin-rich nut oils, natural essential oils and botanicals to nourish, tone and moisturize skin. Finally, a hydrotherapy massage using a blend of mineral salts and essential oils further enhances circulation and stimulates the senses. Skin is left silky smooth and hydrated with a head to toe glow.

Back in Action:
One hour, 15 minutes. The complete regime for the back includes a thorough cleansing, exfoliation, prescribed masque treatment, and massage.. Masques of Rose Water and Rhassoul Clay, Green Tea and Green Clay, or Moor Mud and Papaya are selected for varying skincare needs, deeply cleansing, repairing and balancing skin while pure essential oils including rose, palmarosa, juniper and frankincense sooth and quiet the mind. Lastly, a luxurious back massage combined with scalp and foot massage and reflexology bring total relaxation.

Prescribed Facials
One hour, 15 minutes. All skincare treatments begin with a thorough skin analysis to identify skin type and the desired effects. The finest, fresh botanical formulas of the exclusive Out of the Woods line used for each facial contain pure essential oils and herbal infusions to apply nature's most luxurious and healing remedies to the skin.

All facials include cleansing, toning and exfoliation, an extensive facial massage, followed by a gentle floral eye balm treatment to soothe and pamper weary eyes, a masque for the neck and décolleté, a scalp, arm and hand massage and finally, a calming and hydrating facial serum of rose water, aloe vera, and linden blossom. A protective moisturizer is applied for the softest protection. Steam and extraction may be added to the cleansing stage extending the service to 90 minutes. Head to Toe Hands & Feet: Out of the Woods Spa Manicures & Pedicures, One hour each. Incorporate the necessities of nail maintenance with expert massage, refreshing botanical soaks and masque treatments with relaxing aromatherapy. Pure aromatic essential oils include sandalwood, lavender, myrrh, lemongrass, rose geranium and lime.
Hair Services: Time varies. Shampoo and blow drying, cutting and styling as well as simple updos available. All hair services include scalp, neck and shoulder massage, and the option of a nourishing masque treatment of almond oil, chamomile, lemon and lavender for the hands.
Downright Spruced Up!: 90 minutes. Three-part express treatment begins with a back cleansing and exfoliation. Next, a relaxing back massage with Soothe, Out of the Woods' nurturing blend of sandalwood, orange, ginger and chamomile warms muscles and increases circulation.
The second step consists of a "from the neck up" facial that includes cleansing, toning, exfoliating, relaxing facial massage, hydrating facial masque and soothing eye treatment.
Finally, a maintenance manicure with hand and nail treatment masque, nail grooming and polish rounds out the sprucing up process.

Massage Therapy:
60- or 90-minute in-room appointments available. All massage appointments are performed in the privacy of the guest room or cottage. Professionally trained and highly-skilled massage therapists can provide a variety of massage techniques and modalities.

Spa Seasons
Winter Soul Soother: 90 minutes. The full-body treatment begins with gentle dry-brushing to detoxify and stimulate the lymph, followed by a complete Dead Sea salt body exfoliation with vitamin rich nut oils to tone and moisturize skin. Next, a warming Honey and Mango Body Masque deeply cleanses, improves circulation and warms muscles with a special blend of oils including sandalwood, ylang ylang, coriander, clove and cardamom. Finally, a full body massage relaxes the muscles and leaves skin soothed and hydrated.

This deeply warming treatment is a wonderful remedy for the aches and pains of athletic injuries or rheumatism. A hydro-therapy session can be added extending the service to 1 hour 45 minutes.

Spring
Spring Cleaning, Maple Facial: 90minutes. brightening and rejuvenating facial includes cleansing, toning and exfoliation, an extensive facial masque for the neck and décolleté. Scalp, arm and hand massages follow and the treatment is finished by a calming and hydrating facial serum of rose water, aloe vera, sandalwood and linden blossom, and a fresh application of the appropriate protective moisturizer.

Summer Scrumptious Summer Facials:
90 minutes. Begin with thorough cleansing, toning and exfoliation, an extensive facial massage and a gentle, soothing floral eye balm treatment. Next a fresh facial mask is prepared using local organic fruits, flowers, produce, pure dairy cream and original Out of the Woods botanical masque bases.

Ingredients are custom selected and blended using the season's finest ingredients, including Strawberries and Cream to energize and brighten skin, Peach and Honey to enhance the complexion and Honey and Marigold to tone and de-sensitize skin. Facials finish with a calming and hydrating facial serum of rose water, aloe vera, linden blossom leaves skin feeling soft, supple and radiant.

Summer Fresh Pedicure:
One hour. Begins with a whirlpool soak with aromatic mineral salts foot soak with spearmint, cedarwood, and rose. A thorough foot slough is followed by a cooling masque treatment and massage with Out of the Woods' Invigorating Aloe Vera and Algae Foot Wrap and a refreshing blend of essential oils of grapefruit, lemongrass, rosemary, and camphor. Hands and arms are massaged while soles cool. Treatment finishes with Stimulate Foot Cream, a reviving, salubrious blend of herb and citrus oils.

Out of the Woods Out of the Woods is a collection of 100% vegetarian bath and body products drawing inspiration from Twin Farms' rural setting, developed by Richard Howard, one of the world's leading perfumers, and product formulator and director of Arcania Apothecary.

Fitness Center The fitness center adjoins the Out of the Woods spa, for the exclusive use of Twin Farms' male and female guests. Located directly above The Pub, the fitness center is equipped with treadmills, two Pre-Cor EFX bicycles, a Flex Circuit System, step aerobics, and a broad spectrum of free weights.
