Preparing for your stay

We invite registered guests to complete our online concierge form so that we may customize all aspects of your stay, including cuisine, wine, bedding, and activities.

Attire

No specific attire is required, but casual dress is encouraged at all times. Bring your country duffel filled with comfortable clothes and workout apparel. Our complimentary same day laundry service means you can pack lightly. When considering shoes, please note that cottages are located a 5 to 15-minute walk along a rustic road from the dining room in the Main House. Of course, we will transport you at any time, and you may always dine in your accommodation.

Depending on the activities you wish to pursue, we suggest that you add the following items to your standard packing list in the spring, summer, or fall:

  • Waterproof hiking boots
  • Tennis shoes
  • Windbreaker and rain jacket
  • Warm socks
  • Swimsuits for pond or Furo
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat and sunscreen

In the winter, we suggest that you include:

  • Ski/Snow jacket and pants for cross-country and downhill skiing, ice skating, sledding, and snowshoeing
  • Thermal layers
  • Waterproof hiking boots
  • Helmet and goggles
  • Winter gloves
  • Warm socks
  • Scarf and hat

Spa

Book a massage your private cottage or suite, or a variety of facials, scrubs, manicures, and pedicures in the three-room spa and salon. We ask that you make reservations for treatments, which are billed separately from the all-inclusive rate. Twin Farms is located in central Vermont, in the quaint town of Barnard, just 10 miles north of Woodstock.
