Off Script Authors Series with Ben Mezrich

June 26-27, 2026

Event Overview

We invite you to let Twin Farms be your haven for story, reflection, and connection during an exclusive weekend with bestselling author Ben Mezrich and International Chess Master Danny Rensch. Mezrich is the acclaimed author behind The Accidental Billionaires, Bringing Down the House, and The Antisocial Network—books that inspired the films The Social Network, 21, and Dumb Money. Known for chronicling the worlds of innovation, ambition, risk, and power, he has written more than 28 books and served as a consulting producer on Showtime’s Billions. His forthcoming book, Checkmate (June 2026), explores the true story of the scandal that shook the chess world.

Rensch, an International Master, Author and Chief Chess Officer at Chess.com, has played a pivotal role in the modern growth of chess as a player, teacher, commentator, and executive. His memoir, Dark Squares, is a deeply personal account of his upbringing in an abusive cult and the life-changing role chess played in helping him find freedom and purpose.

Together, Mezrich and Rensch will explore their unique perspectives on the world of chess, discuss what Netflix’s Untold: Chess Mates got right, and wrong, and share stories from their remarkable careers at the intersection of competition, controversy, and human behavior. Guests can expect a thought-provoking and engaging weekend with two compelling storytellers whose experiences span literature, media, and the game of chess.

While the cost is included in your stay, space is limited and some reservations are required. For reservations and details, please call 802.234.9999 or email 125@twinfarms.com to connect with a member of the experience curator team. This event, and all Twin Farms amenities, are exclusive to our hotel guests only.
