Jakes’ Fishing Shack at Copper Pond Point

  • Set at the far end of Copper Pond, the shack is a rustic, private spot overlooking the pond and its wildlife. Enjoy lunch at the (screened-in) picnic table and take in the view from the rocking chairs or the fire pit. Feel like dipping a line in? We’ll supply all the gear you need!

The Cabana

  • Dreaming of a waterside picnic? Head to the Cabana, on the edge of Copper Pond, and enjoy an alfresco feast in the covered dining area. After the meal, take a refreshing dip in the clear mountain water — or just a nap on the sun lounges.

The Lift Shack

  • We’ve mastered the art of the cold-weather picnic: Head to the face of the ski hill, where the cozy, fully enclosed Lift Shack beckons with indoor and outdoor fireplaces, booth-style seating, and views of the slopes.

The Lean-to

  • Soak in spectacular views of Twin Farms and Copper Pond, framed by a mountain backdrop, from this three-sided log structure on the mid-face of one of our ski trails. With bench seating, a coffee table, a bean bag for two, and a fire pit, it’s the ideal place to, well, lean back and relax.

Doug’s Treehouse Folly at Knob Hill

  • Picnic in the trees? Yes, please! Ascend the spiral staircase to an elevated, covered deck that offers a cozy couch, a coffee table, and majestic views for miles.

Switchback to the Tree Top Lookout

  • A labor of love created by members of the Twin Farms team, the Switchback trail winds its way up the hill to your choice of two unique lookouts. For the Tree Top Lookout, you’ll backpack in with a chef-prepared lunch to a deck tucked between the trees, with entrancing views of the ever-changing seasons.

Switchback to the Birch Deck Lookout

  • Make your way up the sinuous Switchback trail, a delicious lunch tucked in your backpack, until you reach this deck, lovingly fashioned by our team members with birch from a wedding arbor. Settle into the Adirondack chairs and find beauty and stillness in the expansive views, and perhaps a glimpse of an eagle soaring by.

Old Stone Wall Deck

  • A lovely site just off the hiking trail, this deck perched above an old stone wall overlooks the pristine, sun-dappled woods. Enjoy your backpack picnic at a table for four accompanied by the singing birds and the stony silence of the ancient wall.

Farm Pergola

  • Mt. Ascutney in the distance, blossoming flowers at your feet, twisting grapevines providing shade overhead: The Farm Pergola is set amidst our Kitchen Gardens — just the spot for a farm-to-picnic-table feast. Recline in Adirondack chairs as the bees and butterflies do their magic.

The Well Deck

Silver Lake

  • Just five minutes from Twin Farms, the breezy, 84-acre lake is the perfect place to cool off and enjoy a waterside lunch. Work up an appetite with a pre-picnic swim, or take out one of the canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards at our private picnic area and dock. (No alcohol.)
