Off Script Author Series with Ken Burns

February 19-21, 2027
Let Twin Farms be your haven for story, history, and reflection during an exclusive winter weekend with legendary filmmaker Ken Burns.
Widely regarded as America's foremost documentary storyteller, Burns has spent fifty years illuminating the nation's soul — one archive, one voice, one forgotten face at a time. His body of work — The Civil War, Baseball, Jazz, The War, The National Parks: America's Best Idea, The Vietnam War, Country Music, The U.S. and the Holocaust, The American Buffalo, Leonardo da Vinci, and more than a dozen other films — has earned seventeen Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and two Academy Award nominations. Burns pioneered what is now universally known as the "Ken Burns Effect" — a cinematic language of slow pans and quiet zooms across still photographs that transformed documentary filmmaking itself.
Working from his production company, Florentine Films, nestled in Walpole, New Hampshire, he has remained close to New England throughout — a neighbor, in spirit, to the very landscapes that shaped so much of the American story he has dedicated his life to telling.
