Whether you’re chasing the golden leaves, looking for autumn adventure or seeking a true taste of the local harvest, Twin Farms offers something for everyone. Below, we’ve curated a guide to making the most of the season with help from the Twin Farms Concierge, Schuyler V.V. Thompson.

Autumn Adventure
Feel the fall breeze sweep through the trees and explore Vermont’s Green Mountains by bike or on foot. The surrounding countryside is a symphony of color with sugar maples blazing red and gold.
Explore fall foliage along quiet backroads or woodland trails, where every turn rewards you with Instagram-worthy views.
Looking for something more active? Schuyler suggests trying your hand at archery, fly fishing or yoga, all peaceful and invigorating ways to connect with the rhythm of fall.
Flavors of Fall
Autumn in Vermont is as delicious as it is beautiful. From the orchards to the sugar shacks, the state’s bounty shines.
Schuyler suggests starting your day with warm apple cider donuts or a drizzle of locally sourced Vermont maple syrup over freshly baked brioche French toast.
“The syrup of the mighty maple tree is one of nature’s sweetest delights, and in Vermont, you have the opportunity and the right to indulge,” he remarked.
In the evening, head to Twiggs and pair your meal with a glass of dry Vermont cider or a spiced cranberry gin gimlet by Barr Hill, whose small-batch creations celebrate the state’s forests and farms.

There’s no better time to experience Vermont’s charm than the fall.
“Vermont doesn’t need to announce its beauty. It whispers it through the rustle of leaves, the taste of its produce and the warmth of its people. That’s what keeps guests returning year after year,” said Schuyler.
Schuyler also suggests stopping by F.H. Gillingham & Sons, the iconic Woodstock general store founded in 1886.
“You can find everything at Gillingham’s, from locally churned butter to wool blankets and the best maple syrup in the state,” he says.
Before you leave town, stroll over to The Woodstock Gallery or The Collective, both home to striking Vermont-made artwork and crafts. And if you have time, take a scenic walk through the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, where the foliage is nothing short of breathtaking.
